Partner data in one shape.

Client name withheld under NDA 01 Digital analytics02 Data platform
The client

The client is one of the largest makers of slot machines and casino game content in the world, listed in Australia and operating across the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Its games reach players through casino operators and online gaming partners in many jurisdictions. Each partner connects to its content in a slightly different way.

The challenge

Game event data arrived from many gaming partners, and each partner was handled on its own terms. Event names, properties and formats differed from one partner to the next.

There was no clear route for this data into the tools that needed it. Analysts spent time reconciling partner feeds before they could compare performance.

Every new partner added more complexity. The business needed a structure that would stay consistent as the partner roster kept growing.

What we did
Event tracking planMulti-partner dataData routing

Segment tracking plan

We designed a single tracking plan for game events that every partner feed would map to. It defined standard events, required properties and naming, with partner and jurisdiction carried as properties.

Partner data mapping

We mapped each existing partner feed to the common plan and handled the differences at the point of ingestion. Data from every partner now lands in the same structure.

Downstream routing

We configured Segment to route events cleanly to each downstream tool. Each destination receives only the events it needs, in the format it expects.

Validation and QA

Incoming events were checked against the tracking plan, with violations flagged for follow-up. We compared partner feeds side by side to confirm they reported on the same basis.

Onboarding playbook

We documented how to bring a new partner into the structure, from mapping their events to testing the feed. New partners now follow a repeatable process.

What changed
  • Data from multiple partners is handled cleanly and consistently.
  • Partner-by-partner handling has been replaced by one unified structure.
  • Events route cleanly through Segment to every downstream tool.
  • New partners fit into the existing structure as the roster grows.
