Vero measured growth and kept its privacy
Vero is a social network built around privacy, with no ads and no algorithmic feed. Its users choose it for that stance, so any data collection has to respect it.
Vero needed to measure growth across GA4 and its marketing channels. It also had strict privacy principles that it would not bend.
Tracking across the marketing stack was either missing or inconsistent. The team needed a setup that treated privacy and measurement as goals to meet together.
Privacy-led measurement design
We identified the business events and conversions the team needed and designed tracking that captures only those. Personal data was kept out of events by design.
Consent and data controls
Tracking was set to respect user consent choices and GA4 data settings were configured to match the privacy stance. Retention and collection settings were reviewed against the policy.
Implementation in GTM
We implemented the tracking through Google Tag Manager with clear rules on what fires and when. The team has one controlled place to review every tag.
Consistent channel measurement
We aligned measurement across GA4 and the marketing channels so conversions are defined the same way everywhere. Reports from different tools now agree on the basics.
QA and documentation
Each event was tested and checked for stray personal data before release. We documented the setup so future changes keep to the same privacy rules.
- Vero has reliable measurement without compromising its privacy stance.
- Privacy and measurement are met together as shared priorities.
- Tracking is consistent across the marketing stack.
- The GA4 implementation is designed around privacy requirements.
